Tropical Storm Fay
The center of T.S. Fay has moved westward and is somewhere near the Gulf of Mexico. Here in NE Florida we continue to get hammered by trailing bands of rain circulating around the center of the storm. Several deaths have been caused by T.S. Fay, including a person killed when a tree fell on their car, and a man who died while testing his generator inside his house.
NEVER, EVER, RUN A GASOLINE MOTOR INSIDE A BUILDING.
A TV news crew (Channel 4 in Jacksonville) filmed a city crew placing sandbags around a Congress womans personal residence at city expense. The Congress woman told the news crew she would repay the city. We will wait and see.

Tropical Storm Fay
Fay continues to inundate NE Florida with torrential rains and high winds. The center of Fay has moved towards the west coast of Florida, but in a tropical storm or hurricane, most of the winds and rain are on the North and East side of the storm.
We've had a windy, rainy day. Some streets are flooded. People who live in flood prone areas said that they've never seen anything like this.

Tropical Storm Fay
Tropical Storm Fay has been stalled over Central Florida and is just starting to move to the North West. We are just north of the center of the storm and we are experiencing torrential rains and heavy winds with gusts up to 60 MPH. I'm posting this early before we get a power failure.

Tropical Storm Fay
Tropical Storm Fay was responsible for at least 5 fatalities in the Caribbean within the last week.
After passing over Cuba and the Florida Keys, Fay made landfall in SW Florida near Everglade City.
Fay is currently over Central Florida and is expected to head NE into the Atlantic Ocean, intensify and curve back toward the Northwest into NE Florida or SE Georgia.
As usual lines at the supermarket and gas stations are long in areas ahead of the storm.
