Tropical Storm Omar
The National Hurricane Center says Tropical Storm Omar has formed as the 15th named storm on Oct 15.
A tropical storm watch was in effect for Puerto Rico, the U.S. & British Virgin Islands a portion of the Dominican Republic.
At 11 a.m. EDT, the storm had maximum sustained winds near 40 mph. Its center was about 355 miles southwest of San Juan, Puerto Rico, and moving east-southeast near 2 mph with a turn to the east and then northeast later on Oct 15.Monday, October 13, 2008
Tropical Storm Marco
On 10/7/08, the poorly defined center of Tropical
Depression MARCO was located about 70 miles south of TUXPAN MEXICO
and west-northwest of VERACRUZ MEXICO. The storm was expected to weaken
as it move farther inland.
