Low pressure formed in the eastern Gulf of Mexico between Pensacola and Tampa Sunday morning, 8/3. The storm quickly became Tropical Depression #5 and intensified into Tropical Storm Edoard during the day.
Edoard is moving west in the Gulf of Mexico and is expected to make landfall in Texas as a hurricane on Tuesday 8/5/08.
